Kyle Abbot ( the bear) was an agent of Ra's Al Ghul & the bodyguard of Whisper A'Daire (the snake woman). They were created by Greg Rucka for his run in Detective Comics a few years back. This piece was for a Secret Files, that I was able to pencil & ink while still inking the JSA. I was just playing with design and style for this one. The artwork went to Greg in a trade for one of those cute lil' Harley Quinn / Bruce Timm maquettes. |

the sketch was drawn while speaking to the editor on the phone..
so it was quite rough/basic, and of course elements would be moved around & played with for the finished art.
Now as far as style goes...I look at everything...
so who knows where an influence will pop up..
although I have been a Gulacy fan since I was a kid.
