Description

With all the focus on the 70's Marvel Super Chicks..

I'm more than alittle surprised that Tigra isn't used more__
and used better when she is ....

I always liked her...she had a "Power Vamp" look.....

she "slinks down the alleyway" with her "Stray Cat Strut"...

and no....I won't do any "pussy"-cat jokes about the piece...

Tigra's a lady

She'd likely claw you apart for those one liners.

She was one of the first generation of "women's liberation" heroines at Marvel. Created during the early 70's, she owes her current "fur" look to Roy Thomas and Wally Wood, as she was formerly the heroine known as "The Cat". That costume was the basis for Hellcat. She was the forerunner for She Hulk, Spider-woman, and Ms Marvel.

She even includes such luminaries as Marv Wolfman (editor), Chris Claremont (writer), John Byrne (twice as writer), Tony Isabella (writer), Gil Kane, John Romita, SR, and even Jim Shooter (writer) in her credits. Not bad for someone considered a B list character.
